Being the last one to get the memo feels like being proclaimed the "rotten egg". Was I ignoring the signs? Were the red flags apparent early on? Am I too forgiving? Am I people-pleasing? How do I move forward from here?
Being the last person to get the memo feels deceptive. It leaves you questioning your judgment, your perception, and your ability to process the thoughts flowing throughout your head. Coming to the realization that everyone else noticed behavior patterns long before you did will make you feel uneasy.
The hardest part isn’t always what they did, or continue to do. It’s realizing that what you saw and what everyone else saw were completely opposite. My perception was just that.. MY perception.
